As a Design Specialist, your primary role will involve the creation of detailed drawings for camera and access control installations. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive scopes of work for installation projects, ensuring clarity and precision in the implementation process.


Job Title: Design Specialist (2+ years)


Project Types: Commercial, New Construction, Data Centers, Industrial Buildings, Hospitals, and more


Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to perform all essential Design job responsibilities
  • Create thorough scopes/statements of work using industry standards and best practices for installation projects, outlining all necessary tasks and materials.
  • Interpret systems needs into Company Standards
  • Ensure that scopes of work align with project goals and client expectations.
  • Address Design Challenges using problem-solving skills
  • Review specifications and documents
  • Provide onsite walk-throughs for accurate scope development
  • Produce accurate and detailed drawings for camera and access control, and intrusion alarm installations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate technical requirements into design specifications, while adhering to company standards.
  • Collaborate with sales and project management teams to develop proposals for installation projects.
  • Assist in presenting proposals to clients, highlighting technical details and project timelines when needed.
  • Work within defined guidelines to achieve and maintain desired planned Gross Profit margins for designed systems.
  • Identify cost-effective solutions without compromising on the quality of installations.


Skills & Qualification:

  • 2+ years Designing for a reputable Physical/Electronic Security team(s).
  • Commercial Security experience
  • Bonus: AutoCAD, Axis Site Designer, System Surveyor
