Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathology Assistant will assist in supplementing, enhancing, and extending speech/language therapy services under the direction and supervision of a Speech and Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in direct activities with patients to develop pre-language and language skills
  • Support oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication
  • Serve as a receptionist and clerical support in outpatient therapy clinic settings
Requirements
  • Associates Degree from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Minimum of 70 hours field work/clinical experience from a board-approved program
  • Licensed by the State of South Dakota as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, between hours of 8:00am-5:00pm; 56 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $30.25 per hour, dependent on experience.
