The system is known as a high-quality, low-cost provider of extraordinary clinical care given by compassionate, highly trained physicians and staff.A Brief OverviewThe patient care assistant functions under the direction of the professional nurse; performs specific duties necessary for the support of nursing care and reports all observations and results to the RN.What You Will DoEnsuring the supervision of patients at all timesAssisting patients with basic personal care, and to move or walk aroundProviding patients with emotional supportProvided nutritional supportMonitoring patients' vital signsObserve changes in the condition of patients and report to the registered nurseAlert nursing staff when patients need helpMaintain records of care provided for patientsMaintain confidentiality of patient informationAdhere to relevant policies, procedures, and standardsCompletes all required educational programs annuallyDemonstrates understanding of safety and infection control practices, emergency procedures, fire drills, evacuation procedures, and internal/external disaster plans and proceduresEducation QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent RequiredExperience Qualifications1-3 years 1 year Required orAcute or Sub acute experience preferredLicenses and CertificationsBCLS - Basic Life Support American Heart Association Upon Hire RequiredHoly Name is a mission-driven facility whose quality standards and philosophy are rooted in the principles of its founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.
