Collins Legal Group, LLC is seeking to hire a dedicated trial attorney with litigation experience to join its growing practice. Are you ready to grow in your legal career? Please note that this is NOT an entry-level position. We are seeking candidates with prior litigation experience.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Conducting legal research using resources such as LexisNexis.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Participating in client meetings and interviews.
- Collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
- Drafting and responding to discovery in personal injury, family law, and civil matters.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Experience with litigation procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with legal drafting and document preparation.
- Proficiency in using legal research and billing tools.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- On-site position only, no remote work.
- 3+ years of litigation experience in state courts with experience and strong interest in Family Law.
- Bar Admissions: Licensed to practice and in good standing in Maryland; DC bar a plus
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Excellent analytical and legal skills.
- Resourceful and a creative problem solver.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Eager to learn and gain extensive knowledge of the firm's procedures to communicate effectively with staff, management, attorneys, and clients.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently and in a unified team.
- Thorough and pays meticulous attention to details.
- Successful in managing and meeting timely deadlines.
- Solid understanding of basic software and in office technology.
- Ability to adapt to changes within the law and technology to include court systems.
- Willingness and want to learn from senior attorneys to meet client needs and grow client base.
