Equity Construction Solutions | Assistant Superintendent

Let Us Tell You About this Position:
Equity ECS is a full service commercial real estate firm. Our comprehensive platform includes development, construction, brokerage and property management services that are tailored to provide solutions to each client’s needs. As Assistant Superintendent, you are responsible to ensure the assigned construction projects are successfully delivered on-time and on-budget. This includes assisting monitoring the project from planning through turn-over, adhering and driving the team to the schedule, reporting on progress to owners and project managers, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained, overseeing field safety, site cleanliness and organization, and monitoring field staff and subcontractors.
What are the Key Objectives:
- Responsible to monitor and maintain safety standards by the field and trade contractors alike
- Oversee on-site safety program for ECS – setting the expectations, auditing, and recording information continuously for safety concerns, correcting, compliance, and communication.
- Ensure safe and clean job sites are maintained on an on-going basis
- Supervise, communicate, and coordinate installation of work in accordance with the contract documents, project schedule and the planned sequence of work. Awareness of project milestone dates and the requirements to achieve them.
- Supervise activities of subcontractors against the schedule.
- Monitor daily activities and compile reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles.
- Inspect completed and in-progress work for compliance and conformation to material and structural needs, driving the project to on-time and on-budget turn-over.
- Host clients and owners, on the job site, and answer questions that arise in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Assist with developing best practices based on industry knowledge and company needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Offer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2 years of general contracting experience.
- Working knowledge of construction tracking software and AIA contract software.
- OSHA 30 hour certified.
- Experience building medical, retail, and senior/assisted living facilities preferred.
