We are looking to add a AI/ML Developer to our team in Chicago, IL This is a Contract role.


POSITION OVERVIEW


We are seeking experienced AI/ML Developers to join our team on a contract basis to help deliver an AI Chatbot solution. You will be responsible for leading the development effort, building upon our existing prototype platform developed with Python, React, and Docker. You will collaborate closely with our in-house AI Engineers, who will provide guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of the project.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Development Leadership: Take ownership of the development process for the AI solutions, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Prototype Enhancement: Build upon and enhance the existing prototype platform, adding new features and functionalities as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our AI Engineers for guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business objectives.
  • Backend and Frontend Development: Utilize your expertise in Python for backend development and React.js for frontend development to create a seamless user interface.
  • Containerization and Deployment: Use Docker for containerization to ensure the application is easily deployable and scalable across different environments.
  • Code Quality and Reviews: Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high code quality standards.
  • Documentation: Document all aspects of the development process, including code, APIs, and workflows, to facilitate maintainability and knowledge transfer.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain project momentum.

QUALIFICATIONS


Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • At least 8 years of relevant software development experience, with a focus on delivering value and outcomes.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, web backends, and relevant data science libraries.
  • Experience with latest LLM technology, and prompting strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in agile delivery, Jira usage or other agile delivery best practices.
  • Software architecture and delivery experience.


Technologies/Software

  • Experience with Python, FastAPI, React, and Docker.
  • Agile software development experience.
