Position Overview

The Service Technician creates an exceptional customer experience while building customer loyalty. The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnostics and repairs of our customers' and dealerships' vehicles. Your role will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Reviews repair orders to identify customer concerns and needed repairs.
  2. Clocks on and off time on every line of the repair order.
  3. Checks technical service bulletins that may apply to customer concerns.
  4. Follows the repair escalation process.
  5. Adheres to all factory warranty requirements, including time punches, accurate documentation, and parts returns.
  6. Follows manufacturer repair steps and processes in Topix, including all required parts for repair.
  7. Confirms all repairs once completed.
  8. Keeps the facility clean and equipment in good working order.
  9. Maintains cleanliness of vehicles during the repair process.
  10. Maintains a tool collection that includes all necessary non-Land Rover supplied special tools.
  11. Keeps a clean work area, including bay, toolbox, and surrounding area.
Qualifications
  1. Must be able to operate a vehicle.
  2. Knowledge of dealership computer systems.
  3. Attend company and factory training.
  4. Stay current with manufacturer warranty requirements.
  5. Understand and adhere to the Snell Privacy and Information Security Policies.
  6. Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers.
  7. Ability to answer customers’ technical questions regarding vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs.
  8. Knowledge of automotive systems in general.
  9. Ability to review service orders and inspect vehicles for necessary repairs.
  10. Knowledge of new models and product improvements, based on technical service bulletins, etc.
  11. Knowledge of warranty guidelines and ability to relate them to warranty service repair orders.
  12. Ability to communicate well with co-workers throughout the repair process.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
  14. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time.
  15. High school diploma or equivalent.
  16. Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  17. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR policy requirements.
  18. Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test).
  19. 2+ years' experience preferred.
