Job Description:


The Concrete Foreman will oversee and manage all concrete operations on construction sites. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial concrete work, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities:


- Project Supervision: Manage daily concrete operations on-site, including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, finishing, and curing processes. Ensure that all work is performed according to specifications, blueprints, ACI standards, and safety regulations.

- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of concrete crew members and subcontractors. Provide clear instructions, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective work performance.

- Quality Control: Inspect work in progress to ensure that it meets quality standards and project requirements. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.

- Safety Management: Enforce safety policies and procedures on-site. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

- Material and Equipment Management: Oversee the delivery, handling, and storage of concrete materials and equipment. Ensure that all tools and machinery are in good working condition and address maintenance or repair needs as required.

- Scheduling and Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain project schedules. Coordinate concrete work with other trades and project activities to minimize delays and ensure seamless project execution.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work progress, labor, materials, and equipment. Prepare and submit daily reports and other documentation as required.


Qualifications:


- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial concrete construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

- Skills: Strong knowledge of concrete techniques, materials, and equipment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans. Confidence and ability to handle without question ground up construction including but not limited to: paving, slabs, spread and continuous footings, grade beams, walls, pedestals, piers, and accurate anchor bolt installation.

- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Safety: In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus.

- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.


Education:


- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional vocational training or certifications related to concrete construction are preferred.
