We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Quality Assurance to join our team. The Director of Quality Assurance will be responsible for defining, leading, and managing the quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality products/services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Testing, Automation, QA methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering quality products.

Strategic PlanningDevelop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectivesAlign QA efforts with business goals and objectivesCollaborate with other stakeholders, such as developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure that testing aligns with project goals and objectivesFoster teamwork within cross-functional product development teamsCreate a strategic plan for the continued development of our QA Automation Platform, and develop a roadmap for integrating functional and automated testingTeam Leadership
Inspire, lead, and manage a team of QA professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorshipFoster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the QA teamEstablish goals, communicate them to team members, and assess their progress toward themConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructiveLead the QA team as they transition from a heavily manual test environment into an automation-centric organizationQuality Assurance Processes
Establish and enforce quality assurance standards, procedures, and methodologiesCollaborate with other departments to integrate QA processes into overall business processesOversee the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scriptsConduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established QA processesWillingness and ability to participate in technical designs and code reviews, both for application and test automationTesting and Validation
Coordinate and conduct functional, regression, and performance testing as neededAnalyze test results and collaborate with development teams to resolve issuesTest Automation
Drive continued adoption of test automation strategies and technologies, staying abreast of current industry trends and best practices. Work to integrate automated testing into the sprint workImplement automated testing processes to improve efficiency and accuracyProject Support (Delivery or Leadership)
Deliver all portfolios of committed projects on time, within budget, and of high quality. Helping projects to be successful by taking on QA tasks when appropriate and helping QA team members work through challenging technical issuesWorking with Project stakeholders to collaborate, integration across teams, and affect positive outcomes for allStrategic thinking to align QA efforts with business objectivesRisk Management
Identify and assess potential risks to product quality and develop mitigation strategiesCollaborate with project managers to ensure that quality considerations are integrated into project planningMetrics, Reporting and Documentation
Generate and communicate regular reports on QA metrics, test results, and overall product qualityEstablish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA processesMaintain comprehensive documentation of QA processes, standards, and testing proceduresVendor Management
Collaborate with external vendors, if applicable, to ensure quality standards are met for outsourced testing servicesContinuous Improvement
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practicesStay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QAHiring and Onboarding
Responsible for hiring full-time QA Engineers, Automation Engineers, and contractors. Identifies high-quality talent and places individuals in the right rolesLeadership and Communication
Excellent leadership and people management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to influence and collaborate at all organizational levelsRequired Experience
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)8-10 years of experience in software quality assurance5+ years of QA Management experience managing, leading, and coordinating activities of a QA teamStrong knowledge of software development lifecycle and QA methodologiesExcellent leadership and communication skillsExperience with automated testing tools and practicesExperience writing test automation for the UI and/or API using JavaScript, TypeScript, or another modern scripting languageDetail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality products
