Primary Function:  Assist project team and support all daily efforts for safety, quality control and schedule adherence associated with the project.   


Responsibilities:

  1. Reads and interprets plans and specifications from Architect/Engineer and can communicate these to others.
  2. Proactively assists in preparation of estimates for projects and products by analyzing costs, materials, labor, bid documentation, and specifications. 
  3. Assist with maintaining cost estimating and subcontractor/supplier database(s) using various software applications.
  4. Assists in creating Agenda for project meetings.
  5. Create documents such as Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Pay Applications within the company technology program.
  6. Assists in assembling Change Orders, Owner letters and RFI’s.
  7. Assist in preparation of project profit forecasts.
  8. Assists in creating Monthly Progress Reports for the program/project.
  9. Assists to negotiate minor subcontracts and change orders with subcontractors/suppliers (as assigned).
  10. Pursues sub-classification licensing and professional certifications (when requested).
  11. Reviews submittals for compliance with the Contract Documents and process to Design Engineers for review and approval, as directed.
  12. Complies with M. B. Kahn’s Safety Program, OSHA guidelines, and Company policies, procedures, and standards.
  13. Promotes integrity, honesty, hard work, safety, and quality throughout all aspects of the project and is a professional representative of M. B. Kahn. 
  14. Performs additional assignments as directed by management or as required for successful project completion.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Achieve proficiency in all Aspects of Project Engineer II.
  • Thorough understanding and proficient use of project management software or similar software.
  • Ability to develop basic scheduling proficiency in Microsoft Project (or similar software).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
