Job Overview: The Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Server/Bartender to join our Banquets team. This is an on-call position that offers flexibility, allowing you to fill in your own schedule around your current job. This is an excellent opportunity to make additional money during the off-season while being part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We will train

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to guests during banquet events, including weddings, conferences, and private parties.
  • Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event specifications.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring guests' needs are met.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests following standard recipes and resort policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including bar and service stations.
  • Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure smooth and efficient event operations.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a server and/or bartender in a banquet, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, drink recipes, and proper serving techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing outstanding service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
