JOB PURPOSE:

The Oxygen Apprentice is a critical member of the Oxygen division and provides support ensuring high altitude relief for high end home construction and service.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Oxygen Apprentice reports to the Oxygen manager and their primary responsibility is assisting in the completion or maintenance of oxygen systems. Specific duties include:

  • Learning to read and follow a detailed set of plans.
  • Assisting in the service of previously installed oxygen units.
  • Initial commissioning of oxygen units.
  • Building strut stands for equipment.
  • Pulling ambient tubes/wires.
  • Keeping tools and the job site clean and organized.
  • Providing roll out/roll up of tools/materials to begin/end every day on the job.
  • Ensuring appropriate maintenance/cleanliness of worksite, vehicles, and trailers.
  • Adhering to daily safety needs/requirements.
  • Drilling and minor workings with wood.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Dependable, accountable, and takes pride in completing quality work.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of construction experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: communicate with others both physically present and on the telephone; sit and stand; move, use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects over 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The physical environment requires the employee to typically work in all conditions both inside and out. This position will require travel to multiple E1 sites on a regular basis as the need arises.
  • This position is located in Bozeman MT, with responsibilities for additional locations.
  • This FLSA non-exempt position may be requested to work overtime, evenings, and weekends on occasion.
