The Audit Manager leads Assurance & Advisory engagements to include planning project objectives, developing audit strategies, managing project profitability, and supervising the work of Seniors, Staff, and Interns.

Responsibilities:
• Leading the execution of day-to-day activities of audit engagements for our clients including SEC registrants and non-profit organizations
• Gaining an understanding of clients’ objectives as well as their regulatory and risk management environment
• Communicating extensively with clients to drive expectations and report on the status of ongoing projects with regard to audits of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other deliverables
• Setting priorities, ensuring daily coordination among the project team, and monitoring progress against schedules, budgets, project/task deliverables and status reporting
• Analyzing client data with audit tools and technologies to provide meaningful insights
• Identifying technical accounting matters early and assessing their impact on financial statements
• Planning, reviewing, and providing direction for the work of Senior Associates, Staff Associates, and Interns
• Understanding the capabilities of audit team members, monitoring and reviewing work products, and providing feedback on their performance during and after audits
• Monitoring progress of engagement teams against the plan and altering it as needed
• Providing a comprehensive review of audit work papers and financial statements
• Maintaining contact with clients throughout the year to understand impact of significant developments in their businesses and assessing impact on current year audit engagements
• Contributing to business development activities across the firm
• Maintaining a network of industry contacts and establishing new long-term relationships
• Keeping abreast of developments as they affect GAAP as well as the Firm’s standards and policies

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 (five) years of recent assurance / external audit experience in a public accounting firm(s)
• Experience mentoring associates, leading teams and/or directly supervising employees while simultaneously managing multiple engagements
• Experience reviewing, considering, criticizing, and/or auditing financial statements, controls, and accounting policies
• Knowledge of tax and regulatory issues impacting audits, GAAP, and GAAS
• Experience interacting with clients, establishing credibility, trust and healthy relationships
• Demonstrable examples of project management, innovative thinking, and problem solving
• Unwavering integrity and ethics
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites, networking events, conferences, as dictated by business need
