Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking an auto mechanic with strong analytical skills to assist customers at our repair shop in Eatontown, NJ. The ideal candidate will excel at engaging with customers to discuss their vehicle's performance and service history. Responsibilities include examining mechanical components, systems, and parts to identify necessary repairs, as well as maintaining shop equipment and creating repair estimates. $18 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Remedy mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's electrical system, mechanical systems, and electronic systems
  • Engaging in learning opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills
  • Work with auto mechanic team members to determine vehicle problems and solutions
  • Perform system inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine necessary repair work
  • Encourage and facilitate preventive maintenance work such as oil changes, air conditioning service, flushing, brake replacement, tire rotation, and more

Qualifications:
  • A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
  • The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree from a technical school or a relevant automotive program and/or ASE certification.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is a must.
  • Effective communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and other equipment for vehicle repairs is necessary.
