BIFP is currently searching for a highly driven and competitive individual to join our growth-oriented team as a Commodity Trader Trainee. 

As a Trader Trainee, you will begin to learn the ins and outs of our industry through our trainee development program and become equipped with the necessary tools that lead to success on the trading floor. Once you transition to Commodity Trader, who will contribute to our companies success through the buying and selling of forest products, while building relationships with our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn about our industry by working within our logistics department and operations team
  • Start building your business by networking, qualifying prospects, and cold calling
  • Call on customers to leverage supply and negotiate sales
  • Input orders and follow through with shipment to ensure timely delivery
  • Call on suppliers to determine pricing strategies and orders
  • Plan and execute yearly business plan with guidance by President
