Job DescriptionJob Description

Dynamic mechanical assembly position in which Technician performs a high variety of tasks to complete the installation of mowing equipment onto tractors and trucks. Tasks include mechanical assembly of framework, booms, and hydraulic tanks, electrical assembly including switchbox and joystick wiring, and hydraulic component assembly including control valves, hoses, fittings, and operator controls. Additionally Technicians will complete some mower head assembly and install options such radios, strobe lights, and backup alarms. Work completed individually as well as with assistance of other Team members.

Completes tractor and truck prep work prior to mount kit installation including moving tires and installation of lexan safety window.

  • Installs sales order options including radios, strobe lights, and backup alarms.
  • Assembles mount kits onto tractors and trucks using blueprints, schematics and operator’s manuals. Performs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies.
  • Assemblies mowing equipment onto power unit including booms, draft beams, and various mower heads.
  • Operates material handling equipment including forklift, overhead hoist, and pallet jack to move and position framework and other components.
  • Accurately records work order information and inventory transactions.
  • Performs testing and final inspections of completed units using checklists
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Four or more years of experience in a manufacturing field preferred.
  • Ability to read technical instructions, blue prints, and operator manuals.
  • Experience and skills in mechanical and electrical assembly. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic assembly.
  • Knowledge and experience with Problem Solving and Troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift and overhead crane.
  • Manual dexterity; mechanically inclined and good eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. alone.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat while using hands to complete assembly tasks. Also able to move under power unit and work overhead while on a mechanics creeper.
  • Willing to work overtime including weekends as needed to meet production schedules.
