Wind River is the leader in non-hazardous liquid waste services with a recent focus on growing in the waste to energy sector. We are presently executing on an aggressive growth through acquisition strategy, having completed 10 transactions in the past year. Position Summary

This role provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource process for all business locations. This role manages employee master data, administers employee health and welfare plans and other employee-related benefits. This role provides administrative support to human resources function as needed including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS data entry and management, and HR process management.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively interface with management employees, internal customers and/or external customers on employee issues;
  • Via HRIS system, enter, manage and process new hire and termination paperwork, FMLA, leaves of absence, layoffs, etc.;
  • Maintain all branch personnel records and files via HRIS system;
  • Maintain employee master data;
  • Perform various audits of required personnel records;
  • Administers Benefit invoicing
  • Responds to employment verification requests
  • Work on special projects as required;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times – necessitating, confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Proficient in MS Office, i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook – excellent Excel skills preferred
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction as well as part of a team.
  • Awareness and understanding of key human resources operations, procedures and issues.
  • Professionally handle confidential information.
Requirements:

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school graduate
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in a human resources environment preferred
