Summary: The Human Resources Representative provides para-professional level human resources assistance, services, and guidance. May be assigned primary duties relating to recruitment, training and/or general HR administration.

Essential Functions:

  1. Attend meetings, prepare reports, correspondence, and other written material as directed.
  2. Learn and utilize all of the available functions on ADP WorkforceNow, Indeed and any other recruitment platforms to conduct vacancy postings, screening activities, scheduling of interviews and hiring applicants.
  3. Initiate communication and schedule meeting with hiring department to guide hiring manager in the processes to ensure compliance with HR policy and best practices.
  4. Requisition processing and approval.
  5. Job description updates.
  6. Assist with the development of interview questions.
  7. Post job vacancies in applicant tracking system and other relevant forums to reach target applicant pool.
  8. Update vacancy report and onboarding report daily.
  9. Assess applications for minimum qualifications.
  10. Responsible for correspondence with applicants including answering candidate questions and providing updates regarding selection or non-selection.
  11. Conduct background checks through approved vendor(s), process fingerprinting for new hires as required by position. Track and respond to all disqualification letters from CYFD or ECECD. Conduct MVR, and schedule post-offer drug screenings.
  12. Ensure the completion of I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms according to USCIS. Complete the E-Verify process in accordance with regulations. May assist with audits of I-9 records.
  13. Coordinate and assist with new employee orientation. Process new employee records/documents and complete all necessary forms for the personnel file on the employee’s date of hire.
  14. May represent Tresco, Inc. at career fairs and/or participate in related recruitment activities.
  15. Assist with reporting requirements (e.g. Affirmative Action reports, EEO compliance reports, exit interview surveys, etc.)
  16. May oversee and monitor drug and alcohol testing program.
  17. Provide accurate and timely personnel updates to HR Supervisor and Director.
  18. Under the supervision of the HR Supervisor create, develop, and post marketing material for job ads.
  19. Assure primary source verification (PSV) for credentials are received on all applicable positions requiring credentials. Update and conduct PSV prior to expiration date.
  20. May assist with filing and file audits.
  21. Direct all employee concerns, complaints, or questions to HR Supervisor and/or Director.
  22. Ability to learn how each division meets Tresco’s mission and market the division to program participants, employees, and stakeholders.
  23. May provide back up to HRIS position or assist with special projects or assignments.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Behavioral Science or related field may be substituted for work experience.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of full-time experience in human resources, recruitment and/or training position. Must have a strong working knowledge of computer software such as HRIS and/or ATS, spreadsheets and word processing. Experience in marketing/social media and public relations preferred.

Licenses/Certification: Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM CP preferred
