Beautician

Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is seeking a Beautician for their residents. Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Beautician/Barber is responsible for providing direct personal hair care and grooming to male and female residents of the facility.

DUTIES:

• Schedules hair appointments for residents.
• Shampoos and styles hair for residents with diverse ethnic backgrounds by setting, blow-drying, cutting, trimming and/or braiding; may perform beauty services such as applying solutions that straighten hair or retains curl or wave in hair; may provide color rinses and permanent hair coloring.
• Performs services in the beauty/barber shop and on nursing units and in beds for residents unable to be taken to the beauty/barber shop.
• Maintains the beauty/barber shop and equipment in a sanitary, neat and orderly manner.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory of products in the beauty/barber shop.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must maintain a current license/certification, according to State law.
• One year of experience as a beautician/barber, preferably in a long-term care facility, working with diverse clientele.
