POSITION SUMMARY
A growing national company is seeking individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, articulate, outgoing, and personable and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough, quality home inspection and detailed report. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to move to full-time.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications.
The ideal candidate stays current on the latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic are also required. Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
  • Travel to home inspection site-Marietta, Smyrna, Atlanta, and surrounding areas
  • Suggest possible improvements
  • Inspect all home elements and systems
  • Keep daily logs, write up reports, and take photographs
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 2+ years of home inspection experience required
  • Home Inspector certification required-InterNachi or ASHI preferred
  • Other home inspection certification, construction, real estate, or home repair experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of building codes, laws, and government regulations
  • Bachelor's Degree/Construction Degree preferred
  • Knowledgeable Microsoft 365 apps. HomeGauge and ISN a plus
  • Valid drivers license
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Physically fit for climbing ladders, walking on roofs, accessing crawl spaces and attics, and standing for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or other
  • Reliable transportation
