POSITION SUMMARY

To meet all customer requirements and ship on time according to the scheduled ship dates. Manage the receipt and release of finished goods inventory in the warehouse, while meeting all customer requirements. To effectively and efficiently receive products and materials, stage presses, and accurately post material usage. Position has a main focus in Receiving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate lift truck in a safe manner
  • Package finished product per customer specifications such as shrink wrap, box type, quantity and etc.
  • Create appropriate packing slips and bill of ladings for shipments
  • Wrap skids
  • Barcode and label boxes according to customer requirements using UPS, FedEx, and other common couriers
  • Order packaging and shipping supplies
  • Posting inventory, including boxes, shipping supplies, and raw material
  • Inspect and test incoming material
  • Process and move raw material from bin locations to press area
  • Enter and file receiving worksheets
  • Enter and log stock adjustments and report to customer service as needed
  • Coordinate material slitting requirements
  • Initiates NCR for damaged stock
  • Forwards NCR paperwork done by pressman to quality department
  • Perform housekeeping in warehouse
  • Inventory counting and inventory adjustments
  • Maintain inventory of raw materials in MyGBS
  • Participate in yearly inventory/cycle counting
  • Organize pallets and rear area outside plant
  • Main file for allocation sheets
  • Understanding of material handling techniques which prevent damages and deterioration
  • Determines amount of stock used for a job and amount of stock returned to inventory
  • Consolidate inventory regularly using FIFO rules
  • Material posting
  • Files received purchase orders to purchasing
  • Support the business system and the quality mission statement
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements)

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge and experience with different shipping methods and requirements
  • 1-2 years previous shipping experience preferred but not required
  • Strong problem-solving techniques
