Role:

The Financial Analyst provides financial analysis within Soarion Credit Union to enhance financial decision making. The role is accountable for executing and improving functions of Soarion Credit Union’s Asset Liability Management Program. This requires the role to collaborate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners.

What you will be doing:

  • Accurately and timely follows, executes, and maintains the daily, month-end, and year-end processing operations and Information Technology’s job log.
  • Troubleshoots core system errors to ensure the completion of all required jobs; and provides information to departments.
  • Designs, supports, and implements automation of processes for the core system, the credit union network, and with third party systems.
  • Reviews documentation of new modules/features and submits for use to management team or appropriate VP(s). Responsible for the prioritization and resolution of problem issues. Maintains internal list of priority issues.
  • Works with vendors with the development, testing and installation of new or updated DP infrastructure, hardware, software, and procedures.
  • Provides oversite, training, as well as coverage when needed to System Technicians regarding the daily, month-end, and year-end operations of the team.
  • Performs validation of software maintenance and updates on the core
  • Assists in development of internal documentation of procedures for development and use of DP system applications.
  • Trains Credit Union staff on fundamentals for successful processing.
  • Researches and provides timely resolutions to outstanding Help Desk trouble tickets, as related to item processing.
  • Distributes/inserts updates of DP vendor documentation.
  • Research, reports and follows up on systems issues being resolved by vendors.
  • Must be prepared to participate in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or Incident Response scenarios.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

What you'll bring along:

  • (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • 3-5 years of similar or related experience.
  • Hands on experience with diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Must have diagnostic and maintenance abilities with PC hardware, software, and Local Area Network. Able to write simple PC-based software applications and reports.
  • Must be familiar with Windows operating systems, the Internet and telephone system experience is a plus. .
  • Familiarity with Symitar processing functions and scripts preferred.
