Global Village Academy is an innovative charter school. Students learn core content through language immersion in their choice of French, Spanish, Mandarin, or Russian (depending on the school). Essential Duties:

• Supervises students' arrival at lunch room.
• Supervises student line while students wait to get lunch.
• Supervises students while they eat lunch, helps students when called upon.
• Helps keep students focus on eating and good behavior/manners in a safe environment.
• Washes tables and wipes ups spills.
• Works with other lunch assistants.
• Supervises students' departure from the lunch room.
• Helps with clean up in between each lunch.
• Helps with trash removal.
• Supervise recess to ensure students are behaving in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Help wit safety awareness and injury prevention.
• Aide students in solving conflict on the playground.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• This job is from 10:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Experience:

• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Previous experience working in a cafeteria or supervising recess preferred.
• Ability to work with students with various backgrounds and abilities.
• Ability to be flexible and patient and de-escalate conflict.
