The Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom plastic extrusion for more than 50 years. With a wide variety of materials and colors, they produce custom plastic profiles, extruded plastic tubing, and extruded plastic sheets. They also specialize in injection molded parts as well.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The Plant Manager will be responsible for planning, monitoring, developing, managing, and ensuring the overall efficiency, safety, and profitability of the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating production schedules, identifying productivity goals, ensuring schedules meet customer requirements, and financial planning.
  • Monitor and ensure that manufacturing processes are efficient, compliant, and optimized.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop strategies to achieve production targets while minimizing costs.
  • Implement processes and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead and manage a team of supervisors and production line workers.
  • Oversee materials replenishment, maintain quality standards, and optimize performance metrics.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Manage the procurement of supplies such as raw materials, pallets, colorants, packaging, etc.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production and logistics activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Plant Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of plastics manufacturing and extrusion, (profile extrusion, rubber extrusion, or sheet extrusion).
