Our product line ranges from all types of conveyor belting, conveying equipment and components, belting accessories, hose and fitting products, plastics, gasket, and power transmission products.

Job Summary:

The Driver will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
  • Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
  • Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
  • Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
  • Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
  • Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
  • Represent Belt Power in a professional manner at all times.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • The ability to drive safely.
  • The ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
  • Ability to plan delivery routes.
  • The ability to maintain basic logs and records.
  • The ability to carry out a series of instruction without constant supervision.
  • The ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Forklift License
  • Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • The ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired characteristics:

  • Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
  • Maintenance, belt tech experience preferred

Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in a fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud. Generally well-ventilated and well lit. Shop employees may be required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment and strict safety regulations are required.

Physical Demands:

The Driver may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, install, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position in a shop. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend work.

Pay Range: $18.00-$19.00 an hour
