Woodlake Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time licensed veterinary technician to join our AAHA accredited and Feline Friendly hospital. Join our team in providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care for pets and their families The best candidates will possess a positive attitude, the ability to work both independently and as a part of our team and have a strong knowledge base in the field of veterinary medicine.


The practice is open from 7:30 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday.

```Responsibilities```
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records

```Requirements```
- Certification or degree as a Veterinary Technician
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience in dog handling, training, and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care and emergency procedures
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and administer medications
- Familiarity with X-ray equipment and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
