Electrician

REPORTS TO: ELECTRICAL JOURNEYMAN/MASTER ELECTRICIAN

Hourly pay range: $24-$37/hr. depending on experience, NX

Job Summary:

The experienced Electrician / Lead Electrician will lead on site or Journeyman will work with the lead on sites. Assess on-site electrical materials, customized plan and layout to be completed for various projects. Maintain all material receipts, logs, pictures, and other required documentation.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Learn to work and oversee a team of electricians to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Keeping up with continuous education on Solar and Energy Storage applications and Cod
  • Demonstrate Safe working practices and methods
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned by manger

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Residential and commercial electrical installations.
  • Proper installation of all associated AC & DC electrical equipment.
  • Completes projects to national NEC & local AHJ code standards.
  • Maintains a clean and safe project site.
  • Organize on site material and equipment storage.
  • Maintains vehicle oil changes, cleanliness, organization, and stock.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Staying on top of equipment updates and training

  • Knowledge of proper sizing and installation of electrical equipment, wire, conduit, breakers, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Certifications for all applicable battery systems, solar inverters, generators, and associated equipment. (Tesla, Enphase, Solar Edge, Sol Ark, Chint, Etc)
  • Demonstrated continued education to stay current in the field and associated technology.
  • High level of troubleshooting ability.
  • Operation of all types of equipment to include trenchers, multi-type lifts, skid steers, etc.
  • Valid driver's license, personal transportation to and from various job sites in metro Atlanta area with a clean MVR for insurance purposes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Reliable and Punctual

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certifications, technical school training, electrician licensure preferred.
  • At least five years of related experience required, preferably in the solar industry.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on roofs over one story high, crawl spaces, and attics or other confined spaces.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to climb all types of ladders.
