Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

The Test Lab Product Associate is responsible for successful execution of seismic and vibration test planning, execution, reporting, preparation and submittal of regulatory documents.


Essential Responsibilities not limited to:

  • Create, witness and document the test plan and supporting project documentation
  • Equipment testing including assisting with setup and data acquisition; occasional use of hand tools such as wrenches
  • Establish and follow defined shake test procedures and methods to apply the use of instrumentation
  • Development and submittal of certification documents
  • Write test reports
  • Maintain communication with the customer relative to the complete scope of the project
  • Perform activities in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures
Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiar with MATLAB and AutoCAD a plus, but not necessary

Working Conditions

  • Able to sit at and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Visual acuity and the ability to distinguish colors
  • Able to turn wrenches applying varying levels of torque matched to the specifications
  • May include a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, humid, wet conditions)
  • The environment may include variable noise levels and may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes and other safety equipment
  • Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met.
  • Domestic and international travel can average of up to 25% annually

Qualifications

  • Minimum two-year degree in a technical field preferred
  • Practical experience working on engineering projects a plus
  • Experience with following detailed equipment test procedures a plus
  • Visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors
