Job Summary

This full time, entry-level position works with the EHS & Security Manager in protecting people, the environment, and equipment from unnecessary harm and assists in regulatory compliance responsibilities while proactively promoting the protection of human health, facilities, food safety, security, and work environment by maintaining regulatory OSHA and EPA compliance. Position is a professional resource for all employees while providing support services for environmental, health, safety, and security.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance of master policy manual.
  • Act on or assist employees with general concerns by making recommendations to appropriate personnel to implement a change.
  • Support training efforts to include data entry of records, compiling reports, scheduling, participation in new employee training, coordination and performance of contractor training, identify training opportunities and assist with content creation.
  • Enter Safety Data Sheets into online system.
  • Assist Environmental Engineer with record keeping and reporting.
  • Keep inventory of safety equipment and assist in quoting and purchase requests.
  • Conduct equipment checks during floor inspections.
  • Audit environmental supplies for adequate levels.
  • Assist Safety Manager with department safety checklists and inspections.
  • Perform Job Safety Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses.
  • Complete job site safety audits to recognize and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Assist with and complete environmental inspections and audits.
  • Participate in Safety Team meetings and activities including creating agenda, distributing meeting minutes, tracking attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree in EHS, Occupational Safety or related field preferred, but not required. Will consider relevant experience and/ or and certifications. Familiarity with local, state, and federal compliance standards preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience providing administrative support.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including SharePoint, Teams), Asana (preferred), and Acadia (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
