• Develop methods for the availability data base structure meeting semi standard, roll out to customers side and automate the data collection, extract, transform, analysis and provide summary report on regular basis to project.
• Identify high risk items, formulate specific requirements and recommend engineering solutions for reduction of system down time, starting from reduce diagnostic time to help field engineers get down to the root cause asap, optimizing recovery seq and improve system immunity from unwanted interrupts.
• Provide training on availability competence to broad range of Engineering Competencies via verbal discussions during routine interactions, e-mail communication, and formal Knowledge Transfer sessions.
• Participate in review of system design concepts and architecture, assist with specifications and engineering methods input to next generation product development effort.
Education and experience
Master in applied physics, Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial engineering with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of physics and charged particle physics or related engineering field is preferred and a minimum of 2 years in technical development roles.
- Semiconductor Equipment or IC manufacturing experience is desired and experience with high resolution imaging systems a plus.
- Working knowledge of high-vacuum systems
- Proven ability to create project plans, exhibit complete ownership of the deliverables and deliver results on-time with quality
- Must have the capability to clearly communicate progress and status of ongoing activities to managers and to customers
- Can observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work. Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication.
- Must be able to read and interpret data, information and technical documents.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency and professionalism.
- Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy, result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability and identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements.
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads.
- Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and customer. Able to Learn and apply new information or skills.
- Willing to own the integrated systems performance and support the entire product life-cycle and Strive to deliver the right design solution for the right cost at the right time
- Strong English communication skills – both in written and oral, ability to influence. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs
- Understand lean manufacturing, or 6 sigma would be a plus. Experience in statistical process control (SPC) is a plus
