What does a Certified Medical Assistant do?As a Certified Medical Assistant at Healing Hearts Pediatrics PLC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the best possible care for children during various medical appointments, ranging from wellness checks to vaccinations. Your responsibilities will include providing comfort and reassurance to young patients while gathering vital signs and administering necessary treatments. Attention to detail is key, as you will be tasked with accurately documenting each visit in the patient's chart, contributing to the overall quality of care provided at our pediatric primary care practice.

Upholding strict compliance with health care regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA is essential. Strong attendance, attention to detail, communication, and patient interaction skills are a must, along with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
Comfort and proficiency in pediatric vaccine administration are crucial for success in this role. Adaptability, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to young patients are key attributes we are seeking in potential candidates.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Required completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
- Uphold compliance with all health care regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Must have excellent attendance.
- Must possess excellent attention to detail.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must have a positive attitude and good patient interaction skills.
- Must have the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must be comfortable with pediatric vaccine administration.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
