Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur growing auto body shop seeks a mechanic to join our talented team of auto mechanics and service technicians. The ideal candidate should be comfortable assessing vehicle components ranging from electronic systems to air conditioning units. $22 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service history
  • Source and remediate mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's mechanical systems, electrical system, and electronic systems
  • Pursue continued education opportunities to grow technical skills
  • Perform system inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine necessary repair work
  • Work with auto mechanic team members to determine vehicle problems and solutions
  • Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on high-performance vehicles, including Ford, Mustang, Chevy, and Dodge models
  • Installing and configuring blowers, turbos, and power adders to enhance vehicle performance
  • Performing modifications to engines, exhaust systems, fuel systems, and other components to optimize power and efficiency
  • Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues with precision and efficiency
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring proper handling of tools and equipment
  • Providing exceptional customer service and addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally
  • Staying updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to high-performance automotive technology
  • Documenting work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any additional recommendations for the customer
Qualifications:
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools and other repair shop equipment is necessary
  • Required state-issued driver’s license
  • An associate's degree from a vocational or technical school and/or ASE certification are a plus
  • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are necessary
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, with a focus on high-performance vehicles
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ford, Mustang, Chevy, and Dodge models, including their engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in installing and tuning blowers, turbos, and power adders for improved vehicle performance
  • Familiarity with aftermarket performance parts and accessories, including intake systems, exhaust systems, and suspension upgrades
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Certification from an accredited automotive technology program or equivalent experience is preferred
