What We Are Looking For:
We're looking for a Technical Lead (Messaging Provisioning) who will lead by example in designing and developing solutions for reputation management and number provisioning.
You are the right candidate if...
- You thrive on spending most of your time writing code to tackle challenging business problems, while also embracing the opportunity to lead a small team of developers
- You lead by example, fostering a positive team culture that emphasizes mutual respect, open communication, collaboration, commitment to continuous improvement, and strong accountability.
- You are a clear communicator, able to articulate the work you and your team are doing and provide reliable updates on team progress.
- You excel in a data-driven decision-making environment, leveraging insights to guide your team and make informed, impactful decisions.
What You'll Do:
- Create and maintain REST APIs (Java/Spring) for distributed, multi-service systems
- Design, document, and review new product features and APIs in collaboration with other team members and our product owner
- Write and maintain unit, functional, and end to end tests for the code that you write
- Build and deploy applications for AWS, including creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in productive code reviews and adhere to team-defined coding standards as you create products (we value collaboration within and across teams to build better products)
- Support the products you work on in our on-call rotation
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to more junior team members to help them grow in their technical skills and advance their careers
- Break down larger product features into manageable stories that can be distributed across multiple developers
- Work with our product owner and other stakeholders to prioritize and help refine product features and provide clear reporting on technical progress, challenges, and decisions
What You Need:
If you're our person, you probably look like this:
- You have 7+ years of experience building web services in Java and Spring
- An understanding of network protocols, HTTP, and REST
- Experience designing and working with distributed systems, specifically the ability to debug issues across correlated microservices
- Experience with AWS development (SNS, SQS, Elasticache, Cloudformation, ECS)
- Experience with SQL and relational database systems (RDS)
- Experience with unit and functional testing
- A 4-year technical degree or equivalent experience

- All new hires receive four weeks of PTO.
- PTO Embargo. When you take time off (of any kind) you're embargoed from working. Bandmates and managers are not allowed to interrupt your PTO – not even with email.
- Additional PTO can be earned throughout the year through volunteer hours and Bandwidth challenges.
- "Mahalo moments" program grants additional time off for life's most important moments like graduations, buying a first home, getting married, wedding anniversaries (every five years), and the birth of a grandchild.
- 90-Minute Workout Lunches and unlimited meetings with our very own nutritionist.
Are you excited about the position and its responsibilities, but not sure if you're 100% qualified? Do you feel you can work to help us crush the mission? If you answered 'yes' to both of these questions, we encourage you to apply You won't want to miss the opportunity to be a part of the BAND.
