Corvid is seeking a skilled and experienced Mid- to Senior-Level RF Modeling and Analysis Engineer with expertise in real- and non-real-time RADAR system, subsystem, and component level analysis, modeling, and simulation to include signal processing techniques and electromagnetic interference. The ideal candidate will also have experience designing, developing, and analyzing real-time radar systems and subsystems control software, as well as with the modeling and simulation and analysis of these systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of solutions in the field of instrumentation radar systems.

Responsibilities:

  • RADAR system/subsystem/component level analysis and characterization, calibration, and M&S (modeling and simulation)
  • RADAR signal processing, data analysis, and algorithms
  • Electro-magnetic interference and compatibility (EMI/EMC) analysis
  • RADAR hardware characterization
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications in C++ and perform analysis using Python and/or MATLAB
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Participate in code and engineering design reviews to maintain and ensure quality as well as providing constructive feedback to peers
  • Debug and resolve software defects, ensuring timely delivery of bug-free solutions, and support the development/updates of radar system & subsystem user documentation
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to software development, radar systems, and government contracts
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, methodologies, and workflow
  • Generate software specifications based on customer and or specific radar applications
  • Integrate and test radar subsystem hardware & software, to include developing integration and test plans, performing subsystem and system level performance testing, and supporting site integration and test activities
  • Support implementation and mitigation of cybersecurity protocols and RMF controls.
  • Potential to provide on-site radar engineering and operations support (to both land and shipboard systems) and associated travel

Requirements:

  • US SECRET-level (or higher) security clearance
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software or electrical engineering, or related STEM field with 3+ years relevant experience in RADAR analysis, real-/non-real-time software development and maintenance, signal processing, and/or modeling and simulation
  • Experience with real-time radar systems/subsystem software, modeling and simulation, including knowledge of signal processing techniques, data analysis, and algorithm implementation is desired
  • Competency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Familiarity with government contract work, understanding the requirements, compliance, and documentation involved
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into efficient software solutions
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated and proactive mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working on projects involving real-time radar software, modeling and simulation (M&S) development and analysis in government contract environments
  • Development experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C++
  • Familiarity with software development practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git), configuration management, and Agile methodologies
