Position Title: 
Part-Time Finance Analyst – Temporary

 

Schedule and Pay:

  • Gross Bi-Weekly Pay: $1,961.76

24 hours a week on-site within a flexible Monday to Friday schedule, hours will be within an 8 am to 5 pm window

  • This agreement is effective from the start date and will continue for a period of four months, with the possibility of extension up to six months
  • After 90 days of employment, the Finance Analyst will be eligible for paid time off (PTO). PTO will be front-loaded at a prorated rate based on the duration of employment


Duties:

  • Assist with new vendor set up and credit applications
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting process for departmental overhead costs
  • Assist quarterly self-audits to ensure inventory controls are accurately followed
  • Collaborate with Finance Manager on special projects as assigned
  • Conduct the annual review of Bill of Materials (BOM) and labor standards
  • Coordinate the exception management process for plant related AP transactional issues
  • Create, implement, and maintain new business processes to streamline and improve financial forecasting and reporting
  • Ensure that critical weekly and monthly deadlines are met and provide accurate and timely management reporting
  • Investigate variances, determine root causes, and recommend corrective or mitigating actions
  • Play a key role in the period end close ensuring accounting entries are accurate and timely
  • Report daily and weekly performance metrics
  • Support operations leadership to ensure accurate GL coding when creating purchase orders
  • Support licensing renewal and reporting requirements for City, State and Federal regulatory bodies
  • Understand cost drivers and provide analytics to assist management
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with experience in food manufacturing highly desired
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system is an asset
  • Minimum 2-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (4-year preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
