This is an on-site position located in Mount Vernon, OH.

Your Role:

As an IT Technician - Technical Support Specialist, you will:

  • Maintain IT Systems: Install, upgrade, test, and maintain computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Address problems with application servers, hardware, phone systems, or network infrastructure.
  • Enhance Systems: Coordinate technology resources, automate processes, and improve existing systems.
  • Ensure Security: Monitor our network to guarantee 24/7 availability with a focus on security and confidentiality.
  • Provide Support: Offer courteous technical support, manage help desk tickets, and develop training materials to empower users.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with maintaining and upgrading PC hardware and software
  • Understanding of telecommunications systems, LAN/WAN functions, and operating systems
  • Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and customer service abilities
  • Willingness to stay updated with seminars on disaster recovery, information security, and related topics

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous IT Support Roles: Hands-on experience in helpdesk or technical support positions.
  • Systems Implementation: Experience with deploying and configuring new systems and technologies.
  • Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Security: Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems. Experience with data protection and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Web-based programming skills (JAVA, HTML/CSS, JAVASCRIPT)

Preferred Certifications but not required:

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, and Saturday, 9 am - 1 pm. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
