Psychiatric Technician

Position Overview:
The Psychiatric Technicians performs client care duties for clients in acute psychiatric distress. To work as part of a team and provide therapeutic, supportive nurturing and structured programming with youth in an OMH licensed program between the ages of 5 and 17 years old. The psychiatric technician shall use learned skills, professional knowledge and interpersonal skills to bring about positive changes. Employee will be an integral member of an inter-disciplinary team. The psychiatric technician is expected to attend Team Meetings, annual trainings, participate in supervision and carry themselves as role models and highly professional.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum academic record of a high school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- Has demonstrated the capacity to care for children in a nurturing and therapeutic manner.
