Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:

Primary Function:  Actively participates in the work on the project including assisting with field supervision of subcontractors, and is responsible for the completion of tasks. Assist in leading and motivating field personnel in all efforts for safety, production, quality control, schedule adherence, and tasks according to priorities and plans.  


Responsibilities:

  1. Reads and interprets plans and specifications from Architect/Engineer and can communicate these to others.
  2. Proactively anticipates and solves problems that could delay construction.
  3. Assists project team in preparing formal pre-task planning and disseminates the plan to task participants.
  4. Develops an understanding of Quality Control practices.
  5. Oversees assigned aspects of construction to ensure compliance with the scope, quality, and building codes as established by the contract documents.
  6. Prepares and implements the project schedule for both short term look ahead schedules as well as the overall project scope.
  7. Directs craft personnel and subcontractors scheduling and sequencing the day to day activities of work (when assigned).
  8. Works as directed by the Superintendent to coordinate suppliers and meet with building officials.
  9. Leads weekly Superintendent Meeting (when assigned).
  10. Leads weekly Site Safety Meeting (when assigned).
  11. Produces accurate Project Daily reports. (when assigned)
  12. Develops ability to forecast labor and material needs for the project.
  13. Support Superintendent in managing tool and equipment utilization for the project to ensure our resources are used efficiently. 
  14. Coordinates between/among subcontractors and suppliers. 
  15. Maintains assigned company assets.
  16. Promotes and maintains positive relationships with Owner/Architect/Engineer, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  17. Assists with implementation and adherence to M. B. Kahn’s Safety Program, OSHA guidelines, and Company policies, procedures, and standards.
  18. Promotes integrity, honesty, hard work, safety, and quality throughout all aspects of the project and is a professional representative of M. B. Kahn. 
  19. Performs additional assignments as directed by management or as required for successful project completion.

Required Certification/Training

  • Completed OSHA 30 Hour Course for Construction
  • Current First Aid Certification

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in all aspects of Foreman.
  • Demonstrates good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Understands basic survey and layout.
  • Understand navigation and use of project management software or similar software.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lead an onsite project team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
