Position Summary:

Under the authority of the Chief Technologist, the sonographer shall perform all functions necessary for the competent operation of Sonography equipment and the performance of either General and Vascular Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiac and Vascular Diagnostic Medical Sonography within the mission of the Hospital and department.


Qualifications:

Requires completion of American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) approved course in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International certification (CCI). Any sonographer hired without their ARDMS will have 12 months to obtain the required ARDMS credential.  If employee fails to complete this process employment will be terminated.  

 

Prefer minimum one year experience in specialty area.
