We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Metal Fabrication Estimator to join our team in Statesville, NC. This temp-to-hire position opens due to our ongoing growth and the expansion of our Metal Fabrication department. Our company has been recognized for excellence in our industry, thanks to our dedicated team and innovative solutions. The selected candidate will report to the department manager and play a crucial role in turning raw materials such as sheet/plate, coil, bar stock, or tube into finished parts that meet our customers' specifications.
Responsibilities:
  • Initiate contact with customers following quote requests to ensure a clear understanding of the scope and feasibility of the work.
  • Input all gathered information into our ERP system and ensure accurate documentation in line with company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to guarantee specifications are achievable within desired timelines.
  • Engage with customers to review projects, offer facility tours, and maintain outstanding service levels throughout the quotation process.
  • Uphold teamwork, maintain a positive attitude, and strive to meet or exceed departmental goals.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a metal fabrication setting or direct experience in metal fabrication estimating.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes from raw materials to finished products according to customer specs.
  • Knowledgeable in various material types including carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, and tool steel.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints and identifying customer requirements.
  • Exceptional time management abilities, capable of handling multiple quotes simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with JobBoss² is a significant advantage.
