Job Specific Duties include:
Responsible for positive and accurate patient food service on assigned unit(s) including but not limited to menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests, in-between meal food delivery, and cleaning or stocking of pantry. Maintaining an efficient and clean meal service, consistently putting out visually appealing food that is accurate for the designated diet(s) as well as communicating with both the cooks and the other unit host in regards to meals service and needs. Physical requirements include standing, bending, lifting, walking, pushing and/or pulling carts.
What you will need
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to learn, retain and perform new information.
- Skills using tablet computers and wireless technology.
- 1 year experience in healthcare or food service environment. Knowledge in food, nutrition or modified diets is preferred.
- ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card.
- Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
- Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Physical requirements include standing, bending, lifting, walking, pushing and/or pulling carts.
- May occasionally lift and/or move 40+ pounds.
- Walk and stands during entire shift.
- Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands & arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception & ability to adjust focus.
