Job Summary:
The Parts Counterperson at Briggs Automotive Group is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to customers who visit the dealership's parts counter. This position is based in Manhattan, Kansas and is a full-time, individual contributor role. The Parts Counterperson will work closely with customers to identify their needs and provide them with the necessary parts and materials for their vehicle maintenance and repair. This role will report to the Parts Manager and work closely with other departments within the dealership.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers who visit the parts counter in a friendly and professional manner
- Identify customer needs and provide them with the necessary parts and materials for their vehicles
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails from customers regarding parts inquiries
- Receive, unpack, and stock parts in an organized and timely manner
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with ordering parts as needed
- Keep the parts counter area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs and maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Continuously expand knowledge of automotive parts and stay updated on industry trends and developments

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and their function
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer requests simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
