Sr Director, Distribution

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Strategy: Develop and direct the operational strategy for global distribution and warehousing in omni-channel environments, including inbound receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and outbound transportation.

2. Performance Metrics: Establish global measurement metrics and set performance targets that align with company objectives.

3. Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with governmental regulations such as OSHA and DOT.

4. Optimization: Implement data-driven analytical tools to monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Develop and maintain global supply/demand heat maps to validate network optimization.

5. Leadership: Guide and direct colleagues in managing budgets, supporting new business, employee development, and project management. Drive a values based culture where colleagues are valued, respected and engaged.

6. Cost Management: Identify cost-reducing initiatives for improvements in all aspects of our global distribution strategy including transportation and optimize the distribution process.

7. Risk Management: Identify and anticipate all major risks in global distribution and warehousing and implement appropriate risk reduction strategies.

8. Continuous Improvement: Drive a lean, continuous improvement mindset. Utilize DMAIC and other tools for sustainable issue resolution.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2. Experience: Extensive experience in distribution and warehousing management, with a minimum of 10 years in the field and 3+ years in a leadership role.

3. Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, along with proficiency in lean manufacturing and inventory control processes
