- Actively participate in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Follow policies, programs, and procedures for the reduction and elimination of industrial accidents and provide quality feedback to promote safer work behaviors and conditions.
- Assist Blacksmith with all forging activities.
- Sweep excess scale and keep dies clean.
- Lift, carry, and turn material during forging process.
- Stamp and identify all forged parts to maintain proper traceability.
- Retrieve and set up forging tools under the direction of the Blacksmith.
- Operate various forging equipment to position materials and dies as needed.
- Maintain focus to execute forgings in current state
- Load forge furnaces while maintaining traceability and creating the corresponding furnace map per the appropriate procedure.
- Maintain communication with Blacksmith and crew members through hand signals or radio contact to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
- Communicate production and equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
- Ability to perform autonomous maintenance on forge equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent GED. .
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
