GIS Coordinator

Job Announcement:
Under limited supervision, coordinates the development of the City's GIS (Geographic Information System) Program according to City goals and objectives; promotes the GIS program, identifies priorities, provides excellent customer service in assisting departments in the use of GIS; coordinates development activities with other agencies, and assures the integrity and security of the database. The incumbent must be able work within a framework of established procedures with only occasional instruction or assistance. Reports to the City Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Geography, or a related technical field, and at least two (2) years of experience with ESRI software including ArcView, ArcEdit, ArcInfo, ArcGIS, ArcMap and other GIS and CAD packages. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
Must possess a valid state driver's license.
