Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

The Warehouse Specialist verifies and enters shipping and receiving data from various source documents, into company ERP system for storage, processing and data management purposes. Part-time hours, possible going to full-time. Ideal for Logistics student. Daytime hours, Monday-Friday.


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare orders for shipment

• Contact carriers to schedule shipments

• Schedule inbound appointments

• Process receiving paperwork- data entry

• Issue Customer invoice

• Check source documents for accuracy

• Verify data and correct data where necessary

• Obtain further information for incomplete documents

• Update data and delete unnecessary files

• Combine and rearrange data form source documents where required

• Scan documents into document management systems or databases

• Store completed documents in designated locations

• Respond to requests for information and access relevant files

• Comply with data integrity and security policies

• Assist on Warehouse floor as needed, drive forklift

• Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


• Minimum High School Diploma/GED

• ERP Experience, QAD preferred

• Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office

• Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data efficiently

• Forklift Experience

• Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, reach with arms and hands.

• Must be able to lift and move 10 - 30 lbs on a periodic basis.

• Must be able to use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus ability for examining product


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS


• Knowledge of and ability to utilize problem solving tools

• Moderate to advanced computer skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

• Strong communication skills both oral and written

• Excellent interpersonal skills required

• Self-motivated, energetic with the ability to think outside the norm

• Strong attention to detail
