Receptionist
The Receptionist will often act as the first point of contact to greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization and uphold the company’s brand integrity and relationships.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff promptly to minimize missed calls.
- Ensures the party a call is being transferred to is available before transferring the call to minimize calls missed.
- Ensure that callers are transferred as few times as possible.
- Listens to and returns missed calls from the previous day.
- Prepares reports on company calls for daily huddle and other meetings as needed.
- Supports the company’s efforts for all messages left via phone, email, chat, or other methods to be replied to in less than 24 hours in a way that is helpful to the customer and the business.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
- Acting as a customer advocate with a focus on improving their experience.
- Takes messages and communicates pertinent details to the appropriate people in a timely manner when they are not available to transfer a call to.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Ability to keep the office and warehouse clean and orderly.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
