Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOptometry Technician Salary Rate: $14.00/hr. Location: Auburn, ALShift: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Employment Type: Direct Hire We are looking for an Optometry Technician who will perform direct care such performing tests, patient education on eyewear, obtain patient medical history and answering questions while maintain a high quality of patient care. Under the clinical guidance/oversight of the clinic providers, the Optometry Technician will be responsible for performing clinical and administrative duties.What you will be doing:

• Ensure patients feel welcomed during their appointments and always provide high quality patient care.
• Schedule appointments and confirm appointments.
• Complete documentation into patients’ charts using HER.
• Assisted patients with selection and provide patient education of lenses and frames.
• Insurance verification and payment collection.
• Answer any questions/concerns regarding care and eyewear.

What is Required:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Six (6) months as an Office Assistant or Optometry Technician experience.
• Must have strong communication skills and customer service skills.
• Microsoft excel and EHR experience is preferred.
• Floating between two different locations.
