Aquinas Consulting has an immediate need to fill a Research Lab Associate job at a top R&D facility in Bethel, CT. This testing facility is world class with over 50 fully functioning laboratories and state of the art research being conducted.

Research Lab Associate Job responsibilities:

Alkaline Cathode Lab

  • Interpretation of mixing batch sheets
  • Weighing/dispense of powders and liquid raw materials
  • Loading, unloading and operation of mixers and analytical test equipment
  • Transfer of in-process material between equipment
  • Analytical measurements of post transformation products including:
    • Moisture content
    • Carbon analysis
    • Sieve analysis
    • Flowdex flowability
    • Product dimensions
  • Recording data into batch records as directed
  • Summarize and analyze weekly measurements from LIMS into lab Quality Reports
  • Cleanup of equipment and other housekeeping
  • Raw material weighing, mixing and granulating are physical jobs that require some degree of lifting and dexterity
    • This includes physical lifting of material containers from floor to waist height (typically 20lb but up to 30lb weight).
  • Other tasks could be assigned as required by BPP Team leaders or managers

Job Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or certification in chemistry or engineering
  • Experience in laboratory settings
  • Experience in data collection and reporting
  • Able to follow chemistry-related written procedures and instructions
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Able to do hands-on work in mixing/testing materials (liquids, powders) and small part assembly
  • Willing and able to wear a respirator for some tasks and work with hazardous materials with proper training and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Familiar with basic statistics and adept at data processing (Excel)
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to adhere to safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to maintain clear, accurate records.
