Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading deep foundation contractor. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and completion of deep foundation projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in geotechnical engineering, construction management, and project coordination.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Design:

    • Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive project plans, considering project specifications, budget constraints, and timeline requirements.
    • Contribute to the design and engineering processes for deep foundation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
  2. Site Assessment and Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough site assessments and geotechnical investigations to gather essential data for project planning.
    • Analyze soil conditions, subsurface data, and other relevant factors to make informed decisions regarding foundation design and construction methods.
  3. Contract Management:

    • Assist in the preparation and review of project contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
    • Work closely with project managers to monitor contract compliance, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
  4. Project Execution:

    • Oversee the day-to-day activities on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
    • Collaborate with field teams to resolve technical issues, providing engineering expertise to overcome challenges during construction.
  5. Quality Control and Assurance:

    • Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure that construction activities align with project specifications and engineering standards.
  6. Communication and Collaboration:

    • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members, subcontractors, and clients.
    • Prepare and deliver progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations as required.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  3. Proven experience in deep foundation projects, including piling, shoring, and excavation.
  4. Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and construction management.
  5. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  6. Proficiency in relevant software tools for design, analysis, and project management.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
